Keoua Honaunau Canoe Club’s 41st Annual Mac-A-Thon

10 KM RUN & 5 KM WALK/RUN

SATURDAY, March 30, 2024, 7:00 A.M.

The Mac-A-Thon is Hawai‘i Island’s oldest annual 5 & 10 km race. In addition, Keōua Canoe Club is one of the oldest canoe clubs in the state, originating in the 1930s as Hōnaunau Canoe Club. The race course is on the government road that extends from sacred Hōnaunau Bay, round trip to Napo‘opo‘o. Award ceremony, our famous Mac-Nut Pancake Breakfast (included with entry fee), entertainment, silent auction, and lots of fun await you and your family at the finish line.

Directions to Race Start

Take Hwy. 11 to Hwy. 160 junction (Hōnaunau Post Office), turn makai (ocean side) on Hwy 160 and continue approximately 3 miles to the start/finish line past the Pu‘uhonua O Hōnaunau Park entrance.

Packet Pickup

Race numbers and shirts will be available to pick up Friday afternoon before the race from 4-6pm at our canoe club halau. They will also be available to pick up on race morning at the starting line from 6am.
